Information the app uses
KinSend creates an internal profile associated with your app installation. It processes an installation identifier, authentication information, your display name and optional profile photo, and the phone number used to link WhatsApp. There is no separate KinSend email/password account.
When you connect WhatsApp, the app and backend process directory contact names and identifiers to let you choose people. For selected individual contacts, KinSend stores reminder schedules, language and writing preferences, optional dates, interests and notes, available message context, drafts, and sending/activity records. Group conversations are not supported. It does not import all prior WhatsApp chat history.
AI drafting and Google Gemini
Drafting uses KinSend’s backend and Google’s Gemini API. Relevant recipient names, available message context, saved context enabled for drafts, a one-time detail, writing preferences, and the purpose and timing of the check-in can be sent to Google to generate a suggestion. This information leaves your device. A WhatsApp conversation’s encryption does not make the separate AI request end-to-end encrypted.
Google’s processing and retention are governed by the applicable Gemini API terms and Google privacy policy. KinSend’s production drafting must use a billing-enabled Gemini project. Under Google’s paid-service terms, prompts and responses are not used to improve Google’s products, although limited retention for safety, security and legal obligations may apply. We do not promise zero retention by service providers. Avoid including sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your message.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, KinSend processes device registration identifiers and push tokens through Apple’s notification service on iOS or Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android. With previews enabled, notifications may contain a recipient’s name and draft text on your lock screen, subject to device privacy settings. You can disable previews or reminders in Settings. Reply, Edit and View actions open KinSend for review; no message is sent without your action.
Purchases and technical information
Apple or Google handles payment details. KinSend receives transaction and purchase verification records needed to manage subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent duplicate processing and enforce contact access. The app does not receive your full payment-card details. Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, request records and technical information to operate and secure the service. KinSend does not use advertising identifiers or cross-app advertising tracking.
Retention and your controls
The backend retains up to ten available incoming/outgoing context messages per selected contact and prunes message context older than 30 days when its retention cleanup runs. Optional shared-message intake records also have a 30-day pruning period. Saved recipient notes, drafts, profile settings, and purchase and activity records have different lifetimes and are not all automatically deleted after 30 days.
Use People to edit or remove saved context and manage contacts. Use Settings > Privacy & data to request deletion of KinSend data. Deleting KinSend data does not erase messages already sent in WhatsApp or independently retained by recipients. Purchase, security, backup or legally required records held by service providers may follow their own retention obligations. Removing the app alone does not constitute a backend deletion request.
Sharing and protection
Information is processed by service providers needed for hosting, AI drafting, notifications and purchase verification, and may be disclosed when required by law. Data may be processed outside your country. Access to KinSend data uses installation credentials and server access controls; no system can guarantee absolute security. We do not sell your contact or message content.
Age and recovery
KinSend’s Gemini-powered service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Reinstalling the app or changing phones may lose access to saved KinSend data because cross-device recovery is not currently implemented. Store purchase restoration does not by itself recover saved messages or context.
